Artist Adam Donovan will lead the way into learning about levitation with a focus on how to generate phase locked signals on the Arduino nano, soldering and programming (PC Arduino) your device.Der Künstler Adam Donovan wird uns dabei begleiten und uns das Schweben beibringen, indem wir Einblick erhalten in das Löten, Programmieren (PC Arduino) von eigenen Laufwerken und in das Generieren von geschlossenen Phasensignalen auf dem Arduino Nano.
Workshop participants will get an introduction into the world of acoustic physics while making your own levitation device that you can take home! WOW! Our DIY Levitation Workshop is an introduction into using sound to levitate objects whilst learning the basics of testing phase alignment of ultrasonic waveforms using an oscilloscope.Unser DIY Levitation Workshop ist eine Einführung in die Grundlagen der Phasenausrichtung von Ultraschallwellen anhand von Oszilloskopen. Schlussendlich werden dadurch Objekte mit Hilfe von Klang zum Fliegen gebracht.
Adam DonovanAdam Donovan’s work combines the highly specialised field of scientific acoustics with various fields of artistic practice. Donovan has been researching focused acoustics and acoustic lenses since 1996, drawing on scientific research in this area. His work is a complex combination of multiple fields of art and multiple fields of science. Donovan goes deeply into these fields to create works that challenge our assumptions of experience. His works and machines invoke an otherness or timelessness that is only present in the here and now.
