Our robotic façade Slow Screen was awarded the Swiss Design Award 2018 for best spatial design. The jury noted: The kinetic installation Slow Screen impresses first of all with its specially developed, sophisticated technology, and then again in view of its perfect fulfillment of its immediate objective — to control the incoming light in the exhibition rooms of the Museum of Digital Art. However, the most crucial quality of the installation, in the jury’s opinion, is the associated added value it reveals, aesthetically and in the form of communication, outside the museum’s opening hours.Unsere intelligente Fassade Slow Screen gewann den Swiss Design Award 2018 für beste räumliche Gestaltung. Die Jury veranlasste: Die kinetische Installation Slow Screen überzeugt zum Einen durch eine eigens dafür entwickelte, ausgefeilte technische Lösung und zum Anderen durch die perfekte Erfüllung ihres unmittelbaren Zwecks: die Kontrolle des Lichteinfalls in die Ausstellungsräume des Museum of Digital Art. Als entscheidende Qualität der Installation begreift die Jury aber den mit ihr verbundenen kommunikativen und ästhetischen Mehrwert, der sich ausserhalb der Öffnungszeiten des Museums zeigt.
