From 2016 to 2018, Microsoft was the MuDA’s official technology partner and provided both development support with their amazing engineers and researchers as well as their latest and most sophisticated hardware.
It’s one of these rare stories made possible by the internet. It started in summer 2015 when the MuDA launched the crowdfunding campaign to secure funding for its construction works in Zurich. Microsoft stumbled over the initiative and simply sent an email to say they loved the idea and wished the best of luck. One year and a couple of visits later the Redmond based tech company has become an official partner and supports the MuDA with their technical knowledge, soft- and hardware.
Microsoft, who has a long history of providing children with the opportunity to learn computer science and explore how it can help them achieve their goals, is a perfect fit for the MuDA. With their technological expertise and their understanding of the amazing things that can be created by programming code, they are able to support the artists and installations at the MuDA.
Through their incredible network of partners, they also help connecting with other institutes who share common goals, such as the American Astronomical Society, and are able to open doors to artists to showcase their digital artworks on a global scale.
