In 2011, he completed his Bachelor in Photography at the Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts. In 2014, Raven graduated from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York with aMasters degree in Electronic Arts. His workshave been exhibited at art and film festivals worldwide, including Ars Electronica, FILE, Resonate, FIBER and many more.
Inspired by the likes of Yugo Nakamura and Eric Jordan, Raven taught himself how to program in ActionScript and started to create Flash animations in his teens. In 2008, he was introduced to Processing, which would become his preferred tool to build intricately layered systems.2011 absolvierte er seinen Bachelor in Fotografie am Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts. 2014 schloss Raven das Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York mit einem Master in Electronic Arts ab.

In 1959, the Migros Cooperative, Switzerland’s largest food retailer, bought about 50,000 square meters of land on which was erected, just two years later, one of Switzerland’s first high-rise building, the Herdern Hochhaus. The purpose of the 58-meter tall building was to provide logistics, distribution and storage space for their food delivery chain — including a ripening hall for all the bananas that were dispatched from there to all corners of Switzerland.
Classified as a listed monument in 2012 due to its industrial historical importance, parts of the premises were left empty after an internal reorganisation and have since then been reconverted for cultural activities.Im Jahr 1959 kaufte die Genossenschaft Migros, der grösste Lebensmitteleinzelhändler der Schweiz, etwa 50'000 m2 Land, auf dem nur zwei Jahre später eines der ersten Hochhäuser der Schweiz stand, das Herdern Hochhaus.

Aufgrund seiner historischen industriellen Bedeutung, wurde das Gebäude im Jahr 2012 unter Denkmalschutz gestellt. En raison de son importance industrielle historique, le bâtiment a été classé monument protégé en 2012. Following a successfull crowdfunding campaign in 2015, MUDA opened its doors in an old industrial building in Zurich, where it held exhibitions, workshops and public discussions about the relationships of data, algorithms and society. Being largely self-funded it closed in 2020 due to the pandemic, layed dormant for exactly five years and emerged again in an old castle in the south of Switzerland.Infolge einer erfolgreichen Crowdfunding-Kampagne im Jahr 2015 öffnete das MUDA seine Türen in einem alten Industriegebäude Zürichs, wo Ausstellungen, Workshops und öffentliche Diskussionen über die Beziehungen zwischen Daten, Algorithmen und Gesellschaft stattfanden. Da grösstenteils eigenfinanziert, musste es 2020 aufgrund der Pandemie schliessen.
